CHICKEN NUGGETS (NoorMasri)

Chicken Nuggets
Yesterday, my plan to 'date' with my best friend didn't happen. I ended up scrubbing the stove and defrosting and cleaning the fridge instead. Both wasn't in my list-to-do, but it just happened. So, moral of the story....things don't normally turn out to be what you want it to be...hehehe...

And yesterday also, I didn't plan to do any experiments in the kitchen and again...wallah...I DID TRY SOMETHING...No, no, no...not kuih raya this time, because yesterday afternoon, the electricity wasn't stable at our place. The electricity kept on coming and going and sometimes at low voltage. So I avoid using electrical appliances because I don't want my electrical stuffs to go **KABOOMMM**!

So for dinner, I fried for hubby a simple Nasi Goreng, and for the kids, I made this CHICKEN NUGGETS. Got the recipe from Forum Cari posted by NoorMasri. It was in my pile of printouts for ages and finally yesterday I tried making it. Very simple! When I gave the kids to eat, Fatin actually screamed....
"MA!!!"...And this shocked mom just waited to hear what had happened...and all she has to say was...."IT'S DELICIOUS MOM!" Phew....thank God the heart is still strong! Hahaha! Thanks Noor for sharing this simple to do and delicious recipe.

CHICKEN NUGGETS (NoorMasri)

Ingredients :

500 g minced chicken
1/4 cup fresh breadcrumbs *
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
salt to taste

For coating :

Breadcrumbs or you can also grind cornflakes
1 - 2 eggs ~ lightly beaten

Oil for frying

Method :

1. Mix well the minced chicken, fresh breadcrumbs, white pepper and salt.
2. Take a bit of the mixture, roll into a ball then flatten it. Arrange on a tray. Repeat the process till all mixture is finished.
3. Heat the oil.
4. Dip the nuggets in the egg then coat with breadcrumbs, then again in the egg and finally in the breadcrumbs. This is to get a thicker skin.
5. Fry on medium heat till golden brown.
6. Serve with chillie sauce.

Note :

I make my own breadcrumbs. I'll arrange the slices of bread on a tray, bake them in the oven till crunchy then put in the food processor.

I actually laughed when reading Sis Fazi's comment in my previous entry. She had said that don't I know how to relax? Well this morning, I tried to relax. After finishing the morning chores, I tried to lazy myself watching TV. After an hour, the rain started to pour, the TV signal went bad and I got headache! So I guess, I just can't really sit and relax. Maybe, 'relax' to me, means I have to fiddle with something. Hahaha! Anyway, alhamdulillah, I had that one hour rest, so I think I've relaxed enough today...

6. mamAdLey shamita_z@yahoo.com>> Keep wishing, who knows it'll come true one day... hehehe... Actually, I ran out of idea what to give the kids for dinner. When I flipped trough my thick printouts, I came across this very simple recipe and decided to give it a go, and alhamdulillah they liked it.

10. alynnsaripuddin>> Selamat hari raya Aidil Fitri buat Alynn juga....
11. Sutie>> Mama dapat dalam 13 keping. Budak-budak ni makan 3 pieces each. Kalau nak bagi kenyang lagi, gorenglah fries ke...
12. nn>> Aikss...tengah beraya pun sempat skodeng kat fp ke? Btw, lenguh dah mama angkat tangan, tapi lom dapat angpow pun?
13. KNizam>> Amboi tak habis lagi pantun dia ye...hehehe...
Lebaran...jelas terasa

14. sayer>> Hmm...mama tak familiarlah mi sanggul ni, so mama tak berani sangat nak suggest apa-apa. Cuba tanya Kak Liza, insyaAllah dia tahu. Maaf ye sayer...
15. zakiah zainudin zakiahzainudin@yahoo.com>> Tu la kan, kalau dah cicah dengan sos, okay je....
16. mommy hafiy@nor>> Ha ah, memang sedap. Tu sebab bebudak ni laju je makan. Mama pun memang ada terfikir gak nak burgerkan nugget ni, but then budak-budak ni tak berapa suka kalau chicken burger made of minced. Dia orang kalau nak makan chicken burger, prefer chicken fillet yang dimarinatekan...nak kena ikut selera diorang, kalau tak, buat penat je kita buat diorang tak makan!
17. Ida ida@medix.com.my>> Kelakarlah Ida...ni bebelkan mama ke bebelkan diri sendiri nih? Hihihi...Memang betul pun, hati kata nak baring, tapi tangan dok pegang printout recipes...kenkadang tertidur dengan recipe sekali...
18. Sabrina>> Ala Sab, dah resipinya ada...cuba ajelah. Bukan susah pun...main gaul-gaul, tepek-tepek, salut-salut, goreng...dah leh ngap...sedap lak tu....
19. che sakura>> Betul tu che sakura. Pulak tu, kita tahu halal haramnya. Yelah, kat sini, kenalah berhati-hati. So kalau dah buat sendiri, tahulah apa isi kandungannya kan...Hmm...good idea gak tu eh...nestum ganti breadcrumbs...tentu lagi sedap ni. Kuih makmur mama tu, ok je la kot, first timer...kalau tengok Kak Rossya punya, pehhhh lagi cantikssss wa cakap lu...Nanti dah pos gambar cookies, mama nak pi jamu mata ye.....
20. Phalinn>> Dengar tuuu Aqilah!!!
21. n33za n33za@yahoo.com>> Eeee n33za, mama pun naik excited baca komen n33za. Tahniah ye sebab dah berjaya buat nuggets sendiri. Lebih terjamin status halalnya kan...yang buatkan dia lebih sedap tu pasal kita guna isi ayam je...kalau kat kedai tu, rasanya dah campur macam-macam... Nanti cuba buat coleslow dan kentang putar pulak....
22. naseem>> Glad that you guys liked what I sent....and most welcome dear...
23. aunidayini aunidayini@yahoo.com>> Should be eh...tapi tu la, mama malas nak kisar cornflakes tu...breadcrumbs pulak memang dah ada...so, coat dengan tu jer la....
