CHOCOLATE PUDDING & FRUIT SALAD

Chocolate Pudding...oooo weeee!!
Fruit Salad...yummy!
First and foremost, I'd like to thank all of you on behalf of my son, Syahmi for all the well wishes and duaas for him on his 11th birthday yesterday. He was so happy when I showed him the comments and wishes specially dedicated to him on my page. You people made his day....thanks a bunch....

Was up by 1.30 am yesterday morning because I slept early the night before...actually I 'accidently' slept. Was meaning to just snuggle with the kids but ended up sleeping soundly like a baby. Then at 1.30 am, I woke up to spin the clothes that were still in the washing machine, then put them into the dryer. And since I wasn't feeling sleepy ( guess that 4 1/2 hours sleep was a good one!) I proceed to iron the clothes and update the page. Made Syahmi's cake in the evening, but was too tired (I should be huh?!) to ice it. InsyaAllah will do it afterwards....

I didn't manage to make any desserts. In the morning, was busy cleaning and mopping the house and at the same time, phoning friends to find sponsors for our fund raising event for the Hillview Year 6's children trip to Durban, South Africa. Thanks to Shireen and Sajid from Sun N Sand Holiday Resort for their kind sponsorship. We appreciate it very much.

For today's recipes, I'll paste what I made for dessert on Sunday. Like I've mentioned before, I didn't cook on Sunday as hubby said we'll get takeaways from Nandos. We went for a ride and on the way, we met someone selling fresh strawberries and they look really yummy....so we bought the whole lot! Thanks to Kak Liza for both recipes. They are yummy delicious!

CHOCOLATE PUDDING

Ingredients :

10 g China grass powder (serbuk agar-agar)
3 cups water
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 cup water
1 litre Dutch Lady Chocolate Milk
1 can Fruit Cocktail

Method :

1. Mix well 1 tablespoon cocoa powder with 1/2 cup water. Strain.
2. Boil China grass with 3 cups water.
3. When boiling, add in the sugar and cocoa mixture.
4. Let it boil for a little while more then remove from heat.
5. Add in the chcolate flavoured milk and stir well.
6. Pour the mixture onto a pyrex dish or a tray and leave to set.
7. Serve with Fruit Cocktail.

Note :

1. I didn't use Dutch Lady Chocolate Milk, instead, I mix fresh milk with Nestle Hot Chocolate Powder.
2. I didn't serve with Fruit Cocktail. Love it just the way it is.

FRUIT SALAD

Ingredients :

2 green apples ~ diced
2 red apples ~ diced
2 ripe (but hard) mangos ~ diced
1 papaya ~ diced
1 canned pineapple
grapes
green grapes
raisins
3 cups yogurt (any flavour)
3 cups Vanilla icecream
3 tablespoons Sunquick orange
Rainbow vermicillie (manik berwarna) ~ for sprinkling

Method :

1. Mix all the fruits with yogurt.
2. Chill in the frigde.
3. When serving, place the icecream on top.
4. Sprinkle with colored vermichillie.

What I did :

1. I just used whatever fruits I have at home. Mine consist of strawberries, papaya and banana.
2. Since I didn't 'meet' Kak Liza online before preparing this fruit salad, I wasn't sure what to do with the icecream, so clever me, I mix the icecream and yogurt together then put in all the fruits. But luckily I just kept it for about 1/2 hour before serving. So it's just nice.
3. I used white vermichillie and chocolate rice to sprinkle, to bring out the color.

Quote:
1. hanieliza>> Terima kasih kak kerana sudi berkongsi kedua-dua resipi enak ini. Hilang dah phobia kita nak buat benda guna agar-agar...berkat dari tunjuk ajar akak dan juga kerana tak putus asa kita kot....hehehe.TQ
2. rozzan>> Tu la, kalau puasa, lagi elok pi kerja...balik dari office, tak lama lepas tu dah berbuka kan...hehehe...DHL dari Malawi ke Malaysia or Singapore, takes about 4 days nak sampai...sanggup ke nak terima kalau mama hantar! Hehehe...
3. eddycute>> I think gelatine should do it tapi I must be honest to you, I tak pernah pulak cuba. Try to find agar-agar kat kedai Chinese, normally they have but then the price, tutup mata je la!
4. aZeeMaH>> OOooooo ngidam dah...alhamdulillah...Tapi sorrylah Azeemah, mama tak de resipi ikan tu. Sini ikan very limited choice and what's more, mama malas siang ikan. So menu ikan pun terhad. Cuba Azeemah tanya pada Kak Liza or Kak Rossya, diorang mesti ada punya tu...
5. mommy_d&d>> Shian Danish demam lagi eh..tak pe la, bagi je la dia meme tu, biar sembuh cepat. Kan mommy selalu bilang...susu ibu itu yang terbaik! Mommy berbuka sensorang lagilah senang, masak je cincai cincai...hehehe...
6. mommy_d&d>> Resipi asal, tak dak mention pasai icecream tu. Only this morning, just before posting the recipe, I manage to chat with Kak Liza dan tanya pasal what to do with the icecream. Tu yang boleh boh kat recipe...Mama dah edit note tu...thanks mommy for pointing it out...Campur semua pun okay tapi terus makanlah sebab nanti icecream tu cair sangat pulak...but the taste, sama je...

12. ishzah>> Terima kasih Ishzah...FP Ishzah pun apa kurangnya....
13. anna>> Betul tu, kalau badan kurang sihat, minum sup lagi baik...makan dengan roti..lembut sikit...Harap Anna cepat sembuh ye. Jangan minum air batu!
15. KNizam>> Mama tak pernah rasa bubur lambuk dimasjid Kampung Baru.
16. Phalinn>> Bila malam, lepas Terawikh, badan pun dah letih kan Phalinn...Baik baring sambil baca buku...terus lena...Thanks for the birthday wishes untuk Syahmi ye...
17. naseem>> Thank you Naseem for the wish. Had a wonderful time with you just now. Thanks! See yer tomorrow at 2...don't be late!
18. green-apple>> Buat jangan tak buat...tapi Kak Liza gunakan buah-buahan yang berlainan...terpulang pada selera green-apple la ye...
19. mummy jam>> Betul tu mummy....
20. lenny>> Silalah ambil memana yang berkenan ye....Happy to share with all of you...
21. che sakura>> Pandai cover eh...sesuwai utk kesihatan eh....hehehe....nak start tapi tak start start lagi...
