Today's lunch.....

In the afternoon, just had this urge to try using the cutters that Alia had given me, on breads. I've tried making donuts with it and they turned out beautiful. So I made half the sweet bun recipe...and this is the result...what do you think?

And today's entry is specially dedicated to kids...well, if you have the appetite of a kid, then, you are included....hahaha....The recipe for the Milk Shake comes from the Nestle Nesquik Bottle, the Magic Jelly recipe from the Magic Jelly box and the popcorn recipe comes from Your Family magazine (August issue) that hubby got for me from South Africa.



STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE

Ingredients :

250 ml fresh milk
3 teaspoons of Strawberry Nesquik
2 scoops vanilla icecream

Method :

1. Place the above ingredients into a blender.
2. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
3. Pour into a tall glass.
4. Sprinkle with Nesquik Strawberry.



MAGIC JELLY

Ingredients :

1 box of Magic Jelly
225 ml water
225 ml cold water

Method :

1. Boil 225ml water in a pot. Remove from heat.
2. Chant 'Abracadabra' and stir in the mystical grains until they fizzle and vanish.
3. Add 225ml cold water.
4. Pour the enchanted potion into a suitably magical container and refrigerate until set.



COLORFUL POPCORN...once you pop, you won't want to stop!

Ingredients :

45 ml oil
250 ml popcorn (approximately 1 cup)
500 ml (260g) icing sugar
50 - 75 ml hot water
food coloring

Method :

1. Place the oil into a large saucepan and heat up.
2. Add the popcorn and cover with a lid, shaking over a high heat until all the popcorn has popped.
3. Pour into a very large mixing bowl and allow to cool.
4. Combine icing sugar and hot water to make a thin glace icing. Add coloring of your choice.
5. Pour the icing over the cooled popcorn and mix well until the popcorn is completely coated with icing.
6. Spread out onto a tray in a single layer and leave to air dry for 5 - 6 hours. It will form a crisp coating.
