SWEET SOUR CHICKEN
Harlina had said I've got a magic power...Let see whether I still have it now...hmmmm....


SWEET SOUR CHICKEN

Ingredients :

500 g chicken ~ cut to small pieces and wash
1 teaspoon tumeric powder
1 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons tomato sauce
3 tablespoons chillie sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tomato ~ cut to 6 pieces
green peas
oil for frying

* Since I don't have green peas, I just put in some green beans (kacang boncis) and carrots for color)

To be sliced :
3 shallots
3 garlics
2 cm ginger
3 fresh red chilles
3 green chillies

To garnish :
spring onions ~ chopped

Method :
1. Mix well the chickens with salt and tumeric powder.
2. Heat oil and fry the chickens just till cooked and not crispy.
3. With just a bit of oil from frying the chicken, saute the sliced ingredients till fragrant.
4. Add in tomato sauce, chillie sauce, green peas
(in my case, green beans and carrots), tomato and sugar. Leave to boil.
5. Put in the chicken and let it simmer.
6. Add in the chopped onions.


Thaaa dhaaaa...I think I still have it eh.....! Anyway, here's another experiment I made a couple of days ago. It's a combination of a few recipes and ideas from a couple of creative people. Thanks to them....And I called it Pizza Pinwheels (sorry Sis Rossya, cilok nama sket aa!).


PIZZA PINWHEELS

1. I used this recipe for the base and this pizza sauce recipe.
2. Roll the dough quite thin.
3. Sprinkle some cheese on the flatten dough.
4. Spread the sauce evenly.
5. Arrange the sliced polony.
6. Sprinkle more cheese on top (I didn't do this step because I FORGOT!!!), then roll like a swiss roll.
7. Cut about an inch or so, and arrange on the floured baking tray.
8. If you want it to be more cheesey, just sprinkle extra cheese on top.
9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 celcius for 15 to 20 minutes.


The feedback that I got from my food testers aka my children are quite encouraging. Even Syahmi (who is not quite a pizza lover) was asking for more!
