KUIH SAGU
Hi there everyone...We've just arrived from Mzuzu at about 8pm just now. Started our journey home at 9am. We stopped at a couple of places to enjoy the view and snap photos as well. I will write more about our journey to the northern side of Malawi once I am refreshed. As of now, I am just very very very exhausted!!! Loads of laundry to do, house to clean, bla bla bla.......But one thing for sure, we enjoyed this holiday...and maybe, will be going for another one....who knows...

As for this entry, let me just paste this recipe that I've tried quite sometime back. Got this recipe from Forum Cari posted by Mak Lang. Thank you Mak Lang for the simple and tasty recipe.



KUIH SAGU (SAGOO)

Ingredients :

150g sagoo
2 cups water
1/2 cup white sugar
pandan leaves
coconut ~ grated and mix with a bit of salt
color ~ red or green

Method :

1. Wash sagoo just a bit and put on a strainer.
2. Put sugar, water and pandan leaves in a pot and let it boil for a while.
3. Lastly, put in the sagoo and stir till it thickens.
4. Remove from fire and pour the sagoo in a tray to set.
5. Leave to cool before cutting.
6. Coat with the freshly grated coconut.

Note :
The coconut is best to be steamed for a while so that it won't go bad so fast.
