Chocolate Moist Cake
As promised, in my previous entry, here's the 'other stuff' that I made. I experimented Chocolate Moist Cake from Noor's fotopage. Thank you Noor for sharing this recipe with us. My kids love the cake. It tastes as good as my Rosie's Wet Chocolate Cake. Here's the recipe if you care to try...

CHOCOLATE MOIST CAKE

Ingredients :

2 eggs ~ separate the white and the yolk
175g flour }
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda } sift
37g cocoa powder }
168g margarine
168g water
220g castor sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Topping

200g cooking chocolate ~ melted
1 tablespoon oil or margarine

Method :

1. Beat egg whites till stiff.
2. Cream margarine and sugar till fluffy. Add egg yolk one at a time. Add vanilla essence.
3. Add in the egg whites bit by bit, using medium speed.
4. Fold in sifted flour alternately with water.
5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 190 celcius for about 40 - 45 minutes.

Note :
1. I lessen the sugar by 10g.
2. When doing the topping, after melting the cooking chocolate using the double boil technique, I added the margarine. Oh ohhhhh...the melted chocolate started to harden. I think my cooking chocolate can't be mix with any liquid. Anyway, had to work fast before it really gets hard. If I were to do the topping for this cake again, I might just use my chocolate ganache recipe.
