Ready to bake
Best big, fat chocolate chips cookies
Made this cookies a couple of days ago after browsing in the cookies thread in Forum Cari. The response from the forumers for this particular recipe is so overwhelming which makes me so curious to try. I think, there must be somewhere that I might have gone wrong because my cookies do not expand as much as they should. At least, I've seen some other forumers cookies are just so 'wide'! But actually, I wasn't alone, with this problem. Someone had the same result as well....hmmm....maybe and maybe not, I'll try making it again...maybe.....! To be honest, actually I don't think I'll try again but then, looking at how Fatin is enjoying the cookies, makes me change my mind. She brought to school and was well enjoyed by her friends as well. One of them even asked, where did Fatin 'buy' the cookies we'll see....By the way, thank you SARAH for posting the recipe in the Forum...

Ingredients :
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon soda bicarbornate
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter ~ melted
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup walnut ~ chopped

Method :
1. Preheat oven to 165 Celcius.
2. Sift flour, soda bicarbonate and salt. Leave aside.
3. In a bowl, beat sugar and melted butter till well mixed. Add in vanilla essence, egg and egg yolk. Beat till creamy.
4. Add in the dry ingredients. Mix well.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
6. Use a teaspoon to scoop a bit of mixture on the greased baking tray ~ dropping method. Leave a 3 inches space in between each cookies.
7. Bake the cookies for 15 - 17 minutes or till golden brown.
8. Leave to cool and then keep in an airtight container.

Note :
1. I used hazelnuts instead of walnut.
2. Since my dough was not so runny, so I was able to shape the dough with my hands.

I do hope that someone will try this recipe. Doesn't mean the recipe is not right, just because mine didn't come out the way it should. A good example is with Shabana's Cake. Mine didn't come out nice, but DILLA's was perfect! Spoke to Shabana yesterday about the cake and insyaAllah will try baking it again soon....
