Didn't post any entry yesterday because the computer and the laptop were both conquered by the kids and my hubby in the evening. So, I pampered myself with an early bedtime. Woke up today, feeling fresh! Huhuhuhu.....
Well, let's see...what can I write today...Oh okay...there's a question from Norlida about the icing that I used for hubby's cake and also the other cakes in the archives. Well, for hubby's cake, I used fresh cream. The photo of the fresh cream/whipping cream was pasted in Saturday 11th March entry. All you have to do with this cream is, pour enough amount of cream into a mixer bowl, put a few drops of coloring (if you want it to be colored that is, otherwise leave it as it is) and essence (vanilla, strawberry.. or whatever). The cake on the left, I used fresh cream with and without color and the cake on the right, I used butter icing.
For hubby's cake, I forgot to put any essance! Age is catching up on me...becoming a forgetful ol' lady! Anyway....when everything is in, just on the mixer and whip till the desired consistency. Ready to spread.....I like using fresh cream/whipping cream because I like the taste and also it's not as messy and oily compared to the buttercream. So it makes cleaning up much easier! As for the other novelty cakes, I've iced them using buttercream. This is because, fresh cream melts easily and to ice novelty cakes do take time. So it's not suitable for ME..I do take time to ice a cake.....Here are a few buttercream icing recipes..
COCOA BUTTER ICING (Jamuna)
300 g butter
500g icing sugar ~ sifted
75g cocoa powder
Beat the above ingredients.
VIENNA CREAM (Naseem's class)
125g / 4 oz butter
1 1/2 cups icing sugar ~ sifted
2 tablespoons fresh milk
1. Beat butter till soft.
2. Add in icing sugar
3. Add in fresh milk, ONLY IF the icing is hard
It is important to sift icing sugar before using.
When I make my butter icing, I don't normally follow any recipes. I just beat enough butter, essence and add icing sugar until I am satisfied with the sweetness. I don't like my icing to be too sweet.
CINNAMON AND HONEY (FINAL PART)
Yunani & Ayurvedic have been using honey for years in medicine to strengthen the semen of men. If impotent men regularly take 2 tablespoons of honey before sleeping, their problem will be solved. In China, Japan and Far-East countries, women who do not conceive and to strengthen the uterus have been taking cinnamon powder for centuries. Women who cannot conceive may take a pinch of cinnamon powder in 12 teaspoon of honey and apply it on the gums frequently throughout the day, so that is slowly mixes with the saliva and enters the body. A couple in Maryland, America had no children for 14 years and had left hope of having a child of their own. When told about this process, husband and wife started taking honey and cinnamon as stated above, the wife conceived after a few months and had twins at full term.
People of South America, first thing in the morning gargle with 1 teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water. So their breath stays fresh throughout the day.
Daily morning and night, honey and cinnamon powder taken in equal parts restores hearing

seha email@example.com>> Buat fresh cream mama tak reti. I will buy yang dalam kotak tu, Tinggal boh flavour, color and icing sugar if needed, then whip sampai dapat the desired consistency.
kakmaz firstname.lastname@example.org>> Kita gunakan icing sugar yang beli kat kedai tu je...tak surelah which one that'll be...Tentang creaming the fresh cream, you mustn't overbeat the cream or otherwise, it'll turn like susu basi. Kita pun tak pandai sangat bab fresh cream ni, to be honest la. Selalu gak tense bila tiba masa memukul tu....hehehe.....
kak intan email@example.com>> Alhamdulillah mama sihat-sihat aje. Dalam fp mama ni dah banyak dah resepinya. Nanti slowly, Kak Intan round tengok ye....
