YELLOW CLAM MEAT SAMBAL & FRIED GREEN BEANS WITH EGG

Finally, today, slowly but steadily, I tried downloading the photos from my new gadget, as Azhar had put it, into this laptop of mine. Hubby just told me once....and I am expected to get everything into this cramped head of mine...but wallah.....I managed...hmm...meaning my 'hard-disc' upstairs aka my brain, is still not bad huh! Hahaha! But like I said...the camera is definately new, but then the one using it is still the same ol' lady...so the quality of the photos are more or less still the same....don't blame the camera okay...It's my fault...still don't have the skill to produce good quality shots...



Today's menu for lunch are Yellow Clam Meat Sambal (Sambal Kupang) and Fried Green Beans with Egg (Kacang Buncis goreng telur).




YELLOW CLAM MEAT SAMBAL (Sambal Kupang)

Ingredients :

250g frozen yellow clam meat ~ defrost
3 tablespoons chillie paste
4 shallots ~ pounded
1 garlic ~ pounded
2 teaspoons sugar
2 tablespoons tamarind juice
1/2 onion ~ sliced
oil for cooking

Method :

1. Heat oil in a wok. Add in chillie paste. Fry till fragrant.
2. Add in the pounded shallots and garlic. Stir to blend.
3. Add in tamarind juice, sugar and salt. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes.
4. Add in the yellow clam meat. Cook for 4 minutes.
5. Add in the sliced onion, mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes and remove from heat.

FRIED GREEN BEANS WITH EGG (Kacang Buncis Goreng Telur)

Ingredients :

Green beans ~ cut diagonally
1/2 onion ~ sliced
1 garlic ~ sliced
1 fresh red chillie sliced
1 teaspoon dried shrimp
a bit of tumeric powder
1 egg
salt to taste
oil to cook

Method :

1. Heat oil in a wok. Fry the garlic till fragrant.
2. Add in the sliced chillie and onion. Fry for 1 minute.
3. Add in the dried shrimp.
4. Add in the green beans and tumeric powder (for color) and also salt.
5. Move the fried beans onto one side and crack an egg on the other side. Fry till half cooked and mix the beans with the eggs.
6. Serve with white rice.
