FRIED MACARONI

My mixer
Yesterday was a hectic and sad day for me. Hectic because I have TONS of things to be done and SAD because today is the day, Alia and family are going back to Malaysia for good..leaving me behind. Will miss her cheerful laugh very much. To Alia and family, wish you all the best in your future and hope to meet up when I finally go home....I will cherish all the sweet memories we had together.....take care....

And for today's recipe, I am going to paste what I made the day before to give Alia. My darling mom's recipe ~ Fried Macaroni. I didn't cook anything today. The kids had sausage rolls for lunch which I made yesterday evening. I made sweet bun with kaya filling as well yesterday...Will paste the recipe
next time...otherwise, I'll run out of recipes to share...huhuhu....



FRIED MACARONI

Ingredients :

500g macaroni
Minced meat
3 tablespoons chilli paste
5 shallots
2 garlics
1 teaspoon cummin seeds ~ pounded
1 1/2 tablespoons tomato sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
salt to taste
Vegetables

Method :

1. Boil macaroni with a bit of oil till al denti. When the macaroni is done, drain it in a colander.
2. Heat oil in a wok. Add in the chilli paste. Fry till fragrant.
3. Add in pounded shallots, garlics and cummin seeds.
4. Add a bit of water if it becomes too dry.
5. Add in tomato sauce.
6. Add in oyster sauce
7. Add in sugar and salt.
8. Add in minced meat. Stir till the meat is cooked.
9. Add in the vegetables.
10. Stir in the boiled macaroni till well mixed.
11. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped spring onions, fried sliced onions and sliced red chillies.

Note :
1. The amount of each ingredients used may vary according to one's taste.
2. Al denti means cooked just until it can be cut through with the edge of a fork or bitten through with the teeth

~ Moga berjaya buat kek-kek simple yang mama tepek ni ye...and let me know okay!
~ Mama kalau buat kek, memang tak suka pakai mixer. Kalau kek, mixer tu hanya untuk pukul putih telur sampai kembang. Ala Dilla, bukan susah sangat godak kek tu. It's better to godak the mixture dengan senduk kayu. Then add the putih telur yang dipukul dengan mixer ke dalam mixture dengan teknik kaup balikkan (fold). InsyaAllah kek jadi gebu. Kalau semua taram mixer...tu yang buat berat sket kek tu...
~ Tapi untuk buat roti, janganlah guna hand mixer dik oi...kesian kawan tu...tak terlarat punya!
~ Mama masuk google image dan tengok rupa food processor coz mama tak sure makna dia. If that's the one, should be alright nak uli roti sebab dulu, ada gak orang datang kat rumah mak mama promosi benda ni. Selalu dalam tv pun, diorang guna fp ni. Uli guna yang blade tu...Mama uli guna mixer mama,
guna double hooks. My all purpose mixer as shown in the pic.
~ Breadmaker, mama tak pernah try lagi sebab baru beli masa balik cuti bulan Ogos lepas, tapi tak sempat guna. But my friends guna, okay je. Uli dalam tu, then shape sendiri kat luar...will rasmikan my bread maker when I go back nanti...
~ Tak pe Dilla...banyak bertanya, tak sesat jalan...tapi mama ni bukanlah pandai sangat. Sekadar berkongsi apa yang mama tahulah ye..maaflah kalau ada fakta yang tak betul...
