Yesterday, I posted the photos of the cakes I've iced, so today, I think, it's fair enough if I paste the recipe for the cakes.

3 eggs (should be at room temperature)
150g cake flour
175g sugar
60ml oil
125ml milk or orange juice
10ml (2 teaspoons) baking powder
1 pinch Salt
5ml (1 teaspoon) Vanilla Essence

1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and leave a side.
2. Beat the eggs till well combined and slightly fluffy.
3. Add the sugar little at a time till all the sugar granules are melted.
4. Add the orange juice, essence, and oil and beat well.
5. Fold in the flour and pour into a well greased pan and bake at 180C for 40 - 45 minutes or till done .

Note :
The above recipe is what I got from Enoka. But when preparing this cake, I like to use the Delicious Chocolate Cake method.

Another cake that I like to bake for icing purposes is this Delicious Chocolate Cake. Got the recipe from Nestle Cocoa Powder. Thanks Nestle! It is indeed delicious!

3 eggs separated
120 g flour
175 g sugar
60 ml oil
125 ml hot water
24 g cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
a pinch of salt
5 ml vanilla essence

Method :
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt together
- Mix cocoa and hot water and allow to cool
- Combine egg yolks, oil, sugar, vanilla and cocoa mixture
- Add this to dry ingredients and mix well.
- Whip egg whites till stiff and fold lightly into mixture.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 C for 40 to 45 minutes.

Note :
If I want to make a Black Forest Cake, I normally use this recipe for the cake.

1. Get the trays lined with grease proof paper.
2. Cocoa powder and water, to be mixed.
3. The cocoa mixture.
4. Eggs, separated.
5. Egg whites beaten till stiff.
6. Sifted flour, baking powder and salt.
7. Sugar
8. Oil
9. Place sugar, cocoa mixture, egg yolks, oil and vanilla in a bowl.
10. Mix well.
11. Pour in the sifted dry ingredients.
12. Cut and fold in the egg whites.
13. Till you get a light mixture.
14. Pour into the baking tins.
15. There you are...the Chocolate Cake!

Today, hubby bought for me a new springform cake tray from Shoprite. I am so happy with my new 'toy'. My itchy fingers just can't wait to get started. I was thinking of trying to make a cheese cake, but just couldn't make up my mind, which one to choose . There are so many to choose from the Forum.Cari.Com.My. Maybe I have to ask a friend for opinion.
