APAM PISANG FEQAH

 
Present :

This morning, I drove to the market with Kak Ana....Yes, you read right...I drove...As usual, my intention is just to buy 2 things, 'ikan tenggiri' and ladies finger to cook fish curry for dinner. But when it comes to ladies doing shopping, I still stick to that number 2 though, but 2 hands full of plastic bags! Hahaha...I bought fish, beef and lots of vegetables. Hmmm..am I going to cook all that? We'll see.....hahaha.... From the market, we stopped by the food stall. And once again, bravo to mama because she was able to control her crave for nasi lemak! Hooray mama...well done! But goshhhhh....the aroma of the 'nasi lemak' is just killing me!!! Huhuhu......

Past :

1. Last Friday, 28th March, I went to a baking class. The demo was conducted by Chef Kevin and he showed us how to prepare a bread, a carrot cake and a pineapple pie. At the end of the demo, we got to taste them and they were just yummy.... These were what we learnt and ate.....



2. Yesterday night, thank God, I chat with Lin (my hubby's colleague) on yahoo messenger or otherwise hubby would have gone to office empty handed! They are having the montly party today at lunch. When Lin said that she's going to prepare her share, I asked her why prepare today (meaning yesterday) when the party is going to be this Friday? She said the party will be tomorrow (meaning today), 3rd! Oh me ohhhhh my!!!! So I just gave her a quick bye bye and off to the kitchen I go, like a speedy gonzalles! Hahaha..... And these were what I managed to prepare in 2 hours time.... alhamdulillah... I sincerely hope they'll enjoy what I've sent....

Recipe to share today is Feqah's Apam Pisang Daun Rambai Johol. But I think I really have to change the name slightly to fit in my situation. I didn't use any Rambai leaves to prepare this apam as I have none at that time and mustn't lie that I haven't been to Johol, so definately Johol can't be in the name either. So after omitting both the subjects in the title, what's left is Apam Pisang Feqah. Agree? Ahaks...


APAM PISANG FEQAH
Source : Feqah

Ingredients :

1 cup mashed ripe bananas
1 ½ cups sugar
3 cups flour
3 tablespoons butter/margarine
2 teaspoons bicarbonate soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Method :

1. Blend mashed ripe bananas, sugar, margarine, bicarbonate soda and cream of tartar together.
2. Fold in the flour, a little a time.
3. Spoon into the prepared cups.
4. Steam for 12 minutes.

Bahan2
:

1 cawan pisang* yang telah dikisar (sukat selepas dikisar)
1 ½ cawan gula
3 cawan tepung
3 sudu besar mentega/marjerin
2 sudu kecil soda bikarbonat
1 sudu kecil cream of tartar

Cara2 :

1 Kisar pisang (yang telah dikisar) dengan soda bikarbonat, cream of tartar, gula & mentega/marjerin
2 Gaul bahan2 yang telah dikisar dengan tepung; sedikit demi sedikit
3 Bungkus dengan Daun Rambai**
4 Kukus selama 12 minit

* lebih sedap guna pisang kapas/kolek/masam
** boleh diganti dengan Daun Pisang atau boleh juga dikukus terus menggunakan talam/loyang/acuan lain
