Won't write much as the mind is not in the state of writing. Thanks to my throbbing head!

Came across this recipe when browsing Ummi's Blog and just can't resist to try it out. Yes Ummi, I managed to pull myself together and walk to the shop to get those tempe. When there's a will there's a way and alhamdulillah I made it home in one piece. Hahaha....And Intan, this is NOT the recipe that I had said I wanted to try out today ya...That will have to wait... So here's the simple recipe if you care to try and not forgetting, thanks a bunch to Ummi for sharing it with us...

Source : Ummi's Blog

Ingredients :

2 pieces tempe ~ sliced thinly
1/2 cup dried anchovies
1/2 cup chillie paste + blended onion
2 cloves of garlic ~ knocked
2 tablespoons dark sweet soya sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons tamarind juice
salt to taste
1 Bombay onion ~ diced
3 green chillies ~ julienned

Method :

1. Fry the tempe and dried anchovies (separately) till golden brown and set aside.
2. Heat a little oil in a wok, add in the chillie paste and blended onion. Let it simmer till fragrant.
3. Add in the garlic, tamarind juice, soya sauce, sugar and salt.
4. When it's slightly dried, put in the fried tempe, anchovies, diced onion and green chillie. I added red chillies as well.
5. Stir to mix. Remove from heat and ready to serve.

Just for your reading pleasure....
A husband wakes up at home with a huge hangover. He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table. He sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotless, clean. So is the rest of the house. He takes the aspirins and notices a note on the table. "Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to go shopping. Love You!"
So he goes to the kitchen and sure enough there is a hot breakfast and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating. He asks, "Son, what happened last night?" His son says, "Well, you came home around 3 AM, drunk and delirious. Broke some furniture, puked in the hallway, and gave yourself a black eye when you stumbled into the door". Confused, the man asks, "So, why is everything in order and so clean, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me? I should expect a big quarrel with her!"
His son replies, "Oh, that! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your clothes n shoes off, you said, "LADY LEAVE ME ALONE! I'M MARRIED!"

I know the feeling being away from our home country, makes us miss lots of things. That's what makes me who I am now, meaning, able to cook and bake because when we're abroad and craving for our type of food, there's no other choice but to prepare them ourselves.
22. Evie>> Hi Evie. Thanks for dropping by. Yeah, this is a very simple recipe to do. If you don't have the full ingredients, just put in whatever your heart desire! Be like me, always cheating! Hehehe...
