SAMBAL KERING TEMPE DAN IKAN BILIS

 
Won't write much as the mind is not in the state of writing. Thanks to my throbbing head!

Came across this recipe when browsing Ummi's Blog and just can't resist to try it out. Yes Ummi, I managed to pull myself together and walk to the shop to get those tempe. When there's a will there's a way and alhamdulillah I made it home in one piece. Hahaha....And Intan, this is NOT the recipe that I had said I wanted to try out today ya...That will have to wait... So here's the simple recipe if you care to try and not forgetting, thanks a bunch to Ummi for sharing it with us...



SAMBAL KERING TEMPE DENGAN IKAN BILIS

Ingredients :

2 pieces tempe ~ sliced thinly
1/2 cup dried anchovies
1/2 cup chillie paste + blended onion
2 cloves of garlic ~ knocked
2 tablespoons dark sweet soya sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons tamarind juice
salt to taste
1 Bombay onion ~ diced
3 green chillies ~ julienned

Method :

1. Fry the tempe and dried anchovies (separately) till golden brown and set aside.
2. Heat a little oil in a wok, add in the chillie paste and blended onion. Let it simmer till fragrant.
3. Add in the garlic, tamarind juice, soya sauce, sugar and salt.
4. When it's slightly dried, put in the fried tempe, anchovies, diced onion and green chillie. I added red chillies as well.
5. Stir to mix. Remove from heat and ready to serve.

Bahan :-

2 keping tempe (dlm plastik) - hiris nipis
1/2 cawan ikan bilis halus
1/2 cawan cili + bawang kisar
2 ulas bawang putih - ketuk
2 sudu besar kicap pekat manis
2 sudu besar gula
2 sudu besar air asam jawa
garam
1 labu bawang besar - dadu
2 tangkai cili hijau - hiris nipis

Cara Memasak :

Goreng berasingan tempe dan ikan bilis hingga garing. Ketepikan. Tumiskan cili kisar hingga naik minyak, masukkan bawang putih, air asam jawa, kicap, gula dan garam. Biarkan agak kering sedikit baru masukkan tempe, ikan bilis, bawang dan cili hijau. Gaul sekejap saja dan tutup api.
