Well, let me do some explaination to the answer given. First of all, if the amount that I possessed, is what I had worked hard for, then I will keep aside enough amount for my family's future and the rest will be as written in #12. But if that million was just given to me, then the whole amount will be for #12 as I don't have the heart to enjoy the money myself, knowing that there are lots of other people who really need the help. Being in Malawi Africa for 7 years made me look at life in a very different way. I appreciate my life even more, Alhamdulillah!

Yesterday evening, I was feeling really sick. Went to the pharmacy and was given Febricol. So after having a light dinner, took 2 pills and lie down infront of the TV with the intention of watching Ghost Whisper. But ended up, the Ghost Whisper watched me! I slept throughout the night infront of the TV and hubby at the sofa. He just doesn't have the heart to wake me up. In the morning, still felt giddy and after seeing hubby off to work, I continued sleeping! Oh gosh, I don't like feeling this way....helpless and hopeless......

Alhamdulillah by afternoon I felt much better but dare not take any pills. I'm saving the pill for tonight. Hahaha...It's just so tiring to sleep too much! To get myself moving, I decided to do some experiments in my kitchen. Did two experiments to be precise. One came out really well, the other one is the opposite. To prove to you, here's the photo of the 'opposite'. I don't know where I went wrong, but it's supposed to be a swiss roll!


And the other experiment that was carried out in my kitchen today is this bread. I just love baking bread. To me, the best part of bread making is to see the dough proving, to feel the texture and to smell the freshly baked bread aroma coming from the oven...oooooooo heaven! Thank you Mr Alex Goh for this lovely recipe of English Cottage Bread....by the way, I love cottage style houses! Don't know what's the connection between the two, but I just have to voice it out...hahahaha...



ENGLISH COTTAGE BREAD

Ingredients
:

(A)
*400 g bread flour
*100 g plain flour
45 g sugar
10 g salt
20 g milk powder
3 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast

* (I used just plain flour)

(B)
1 egg
260 ml cold water
(I used lukewarm water)


(C)
60 g butter
(I used margarine)

Topping :

Butter
Sugar

Method :

1. Mix (A) till well blended. Add (B) and knead to form a dough.
2. Add (C) and knead to form a smooth and elastic dough.
3. Let it ferment for 60 minutes.
4. Divide the dough into 2 portions and shape them into balls.
5. Leave them to rest for 10 minutes, flatten it and roll them up, like the way of making swiss rolls.
6. Grease 2 (L 20cm X W 11cm X H 11cm) loaf tin. Put 1 roll in each tin. Leave to prove for 45 minutes or till they double their size.
7. Using a sharp knife, slace once lengthwise across the top of the bread. Place some butter and sprinkle some sugar on top.
8. Bake at 180 C for 30 minutes. Remove it from the mould. Leave to cool, slice and serve.

ROTI PONDOK INGGERIS

Bahan-bahan
:

(A)
*400 g tepung roti
*100 g tepung gandum
45 g gula
10 g garam
20 g susu tepung
3 1/2 sudu kecil yis kering

* (Mama hanya gunakan tepung gandum)

(B)
1 biji telur
260 ml air sejuk
(Mama gunakan air suam)

(C)
60 g mentega
(Mama gunakan majerin)

Topping :

Mentega
Gula

Kaedah penyediaan :

1. Adun (A) sehingga sebati. Tambah (B) dan uli sehingga menjadi doh.
2. Tambah (C) dan uli doh menjadi lembut dan kenyal.
3. Biarkan ia naik selama 60 minit.
4. Bahagikan doh kepada 2 bahagian dan bentukkan menjadi bebola.
5. Biarkan ia selama 10 minit. Ratakan dan gulung seperti cara membuat kek gulung Swiss.
6. Gris 2 acuan roti bantal (P 20sm X L 11sm X T 11sm). Letak setiap gulung ke dalam tin. Biarkan ia naik selama 45 minit atau berganda saiznya.
7. Guna pisau tajam, hiris sekali di permukaan roti. Sapu sedikit mentega dan tabur sedikit gula ke atasnya.
8. Bakar pada suhu 180 C selama 30 minit. Keluarkan daripada acuan. Biarkan sejuk, potong dan hidangkan.

Untuk mixer Cornell dan Philips mama, both ada dua dough hooks. Tapi kalau untuk mixer Kenwood, dia ada satu hook aje. Kalau buat kek, normally digunakan balloon whisk or K beater. Jangan tersilap pulak ye....Tapi untuk menguli roti, jangan gunakan hand mixer ye, sebab hand mixer terlalu kecil, tak kuat untuk menguli, nanti rosak pulak....
