It had been quite a busy week for me. Busy but happy. Last Saturday, my sister came to my 'spacious' house. Spacious? Hahaha...because it's empty! My sister slept over at my house. We had a lovely time chatting away till 2.30 am! At the same time, not realising we're watching National Geographic showing the lions after their prey. After a while, we both looked at each other and asked....why on earth are we watching this pitiful sight?! As if Astro has got no other channels! Hahaha! So we switched to Channel 15....aahhhh...that's more we like it! Konsert AF5!

Was up before 7 and started preparing breakfast instead of going for the morning walk! Actually we planned to do the morning walk together on Sunday....Yeah right! Waking up feeling like a zombie, how are we going for the walk....the neighbours will run away if they see us probably because we might look like the Zombie Kampung Pisang! Hahahaha!!!

These were what I managed to prepare for my guests of hononur......the first to stay over at my house....

And yesterday, my brother took me and my kids to go shopping....well...that will be in the next report...perhaps.....As for today's recipe, I would like to share with all of you, my latest experiment. Thanks to Anim for sharing this recipe with us. I understand that this recipe came from Puan Roshayati Johari of Thank you to both of you.....



250 g Self-raising flour
200 g castor sugar
3 eggs
1 tablespoon ovellate
1 teaspoon baking pawder
2 tablespoon condensed milk
50 g water
175 g butter - melted
chocolate/strawberry/coffee/pandan emulco - your choice

Method :

1. Beat all the ingredients except melted butter and emulco, till thick and double the quantity.
2. Pour in the melted butter and mix well.
3. Remove about 10 tablespoons of batter and add the emulco to it. Mix well.
4. Pour the plain batter into the tray then pour a dollop of the emulco batter here and there to create pattern.
5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 160 C for 45 minutes till done.
6. Leave the cake in the tin for 5 minutes before removing.

African Marble Cake oleh Roshayati Johari (RN)


250 g Tepung naik sendiri
200 g gula kastor
300 g telur - timbang tanpa kulit
1 camb ovellate
1 camt baking pawder
2 camb susu pekat
50 g air
175 g butter - cairkan
coklat/strawberry/ kopi/pandan emulco - pilih satu yang digemari

Cara :

Pukul semua bahan kecuali butter cair dan emulco hingga pekat dan kuantitinya menjadi double. Masukkan butter cair dan kacau adunan sebati.
Asingkan 3 senduk adunan. Campurkan 3 senduk dengan emulco.
Tuang adunan banyak dalam loyang. Tuangkan sedikit2 adunan emulco dan corakkan atas adunan banyak.
Bakar. (Pastikan adunan hanya separuh loyang sebab kek ni akan naik double). Suhu 160 selama 45 minit atau sehingga masak.
Setelah masak, biarkan 5 mini dalam loyang lepas tu keluarkan. Ini untuk elakkan kek jadi kecut.
