KERABU TOMATO DAN IKAN BILIS (Mamazieza)

 
Really miss updating my page but what can I say, time is just not on my side at the moment. But this morning, I manage to 'steal' some of the time to update. Had not been trying anything new for the past one week. So the recipe that I was about to share with you was done a few weeks back...a very simple and easy 'kerabu'. Came across this recipe at Mamazieza's Fotopage and after a few days of drooling over her photo, I finally decided to end my misery and made it myself! And wow, do I like it? I loved it!!!! Thank you Mamazieza for sharing this recipe with all of us and according to her, she got the recipe from Institut Pertanian Serdang. So, thanks to them as well..


KERABU TOMATO DAN IKAN BILIS

Ingredients
:

Dried anchovies ~ fried
2 tomatoes ~ sliced
bird eye chillie ~ sliced
onion ~ sliced
1 lemon grass ~ sliced
salt to taste
sugar to taste
lemon juice

Method :

1. Pound slightly the anchovies and mix it together with tomatoes, bird eye chillie, onion and lemon grass.
2. Add in salt and sugar to taste. Stir well.
3. Pour in a bit of lemon juice to give it a tangy taste. Mix well and ready to serve.

Note :

In Malawi, you can use kapenta for this recipe.

Ikan bilis goreng segenggam
2 biji tomato dihiris
sedikit cili padi (mama guna cili merah sebab takde stok lerr) dihiris
Bawang besar dihiris
1 batang serai dihiris

Tumbuk ikan bilis tadi dan gaulkan dengan semua bahan yang telah dihiris. Gaulkan dengan sedikit gula dan garam dan kalau nak masam lagi perahkan sedikit limau....
