Just came in from my morning walk. I only did like 12 rounds today instead of my normal 15. Why mama? Getting lazy huh Oh no...not lazy, but I slipped and fell at the slope covered with moss OUCH!!! It's painful I tell you. My trousers has a big hole now and I got bruises on both my knees . But then, come to think of it, if it's a baby who just knew how to walk, fell down, it'll look cute...but if a big momma fell down ..... you rock mama!!!

Okay, enough of joke of the day...we'll carry on with our recipe entry. Yesterday morning, I experimented something new for breakfast. This time it's AUSTRALIAN PIKELETS from Aunty Umi Kal's Fotopage. Tak dapat jenjalan lagi ke Australia, buat je la makanan Australia kat rumah ni haaa....It's more like a sweet pancake actually. In her entry, aunty had said, this Pikelets were to be eaten with butter and honey. And in my comment on her page, I had said that I'd prefer to eat it with Sambal Ikan Bilis. Typical Malay huh! And guess what I ended up eating with? Scroll down to find the answer! Thank you Aunty Umi Kal for sharing this simple yet delicious recipe with all of us....



AUSTRALIAN PIKELETS

Ingredients
:

1 cup self-raising flour
pinch of salt
pinch of nutmeg
(I omit this, not available at home!)
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup fresh milk
1 tablespoon butter ~ melted

Method :

1. Sift dry ingredients.
2. Beat egg and sugar.
3. Add melted butter and milk.
4. Stir in dry ingredients.
5. Drop in spoonful onto a hot greased pan.
6. Turn when brown.
7. Serve hot with butter or honey.



Abaikan saja kehitaman yang terserlah tu yek.....

Bahan-bahan
:

1 cawan tepung naik sendiri
secubit garam
secubit serbuh buah pala
1/4 cawan gula
1 biji telur
1/2 cawan susu segar
1 sudu besar mentega ~ dicairkan

Kaedah penyediaan :

1. Ayakkan bahan-bahan kering.
2. Pukul telur dan gula.
3. Campurkan mentega cair dan susu. Kacau.
4. Tuangkan cecair ke dalam bahan-bahan kering. Kaup balikkan.
5. Panaskan kuali. Griskan dengan sedikit mentega. Tuangkan sesudu bancuhan ke atas kuali.
6. Bila telah keperangan, balikkan.
7. Hidangkan panas bersama mentega dan madu


This was what I ended up eating the Pikelets with....hehehe....weird...but THAT'S ME!!!!! But in my opinion, if you have the intention to try my weird menu, you can just lessen the amount of sugar in the recipe. It's slightly sweet.
