BLACK PEPPER PRAWNS (Aunidayini)

 
Nothing much to say as I am feeling feverish at the moment. I guess, it's because of yesterday. Had to run to the car from the pool when it was pouring quite heavily. I don't have a choice but to run because I don't have an umbrella with me. Didn't think it would rain. Can't wait by the pool for the rain to lessen as we have to rush to St Andrew's High School to fetch Fatin from her mountain climbing activity. Will take Flumel before I go to bed afterwards and hopefully it'll do it's magic on me. Can't go the clinic as I'll be quite busy tomorrow, doing what...I don't know but I have a hunch that I'll be busy... Maybe busy doing nothing huh?! After this, I am going to pack Syahmi's stuff for the Durban Trip. I decided to start packing today just in case there's more things needed, I still have time to get them tomorrow.

I haven't tried anything today. Hubby wasn't feeling well too. So for lunch, just cooked Bubur Lambuk Johor Style. For the kids, I prepared Pitta Bread with Chicken Filling. Sorry folks, no photos. Mama was in a hurry!

And the recipe to share today is a prawn dish. Found this simple but lovely recipe from Aunidayini Blogspot. Thanks cikgu for sharing this recipe with all of us...



BLACK PEPPER PRAWNS

Ingredients
:

about 20 medium prawns ~ shelled deveined, tail intact
salt
pepper
ginger ~ sliced
garlic ~ sliced
1/2 large onion sliced
green chili and red chili ~ julienned

Seasoning :

1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp black pepper sauce
1/2 chicken stock powder
corn flour slurry

Method :

1. Marinade prawn in a ceramic bowl with salt and pepper for at least 15 minutes.
2. Grilled or fry the prawn till cooked, keep aside.
3. In a wok, add oil, when oil is hot, add in the onion, garlic and ginger. cook till fragrant
4. Add in the oyster sauce, black pepper sauce and chicken stock powder. simmer
5. add in the sliced chili and the prawn.
6. add in the corn flour slurry and adjust seasoning. dish up

Bahan-bahan :

20 udang sederhana besar ~ dibuang kulit tetapi tidak ekornya
garam
lada hitam
halia ~ dihiris
bawang putih ~ dihiris
1/2 bawang besar ~ dihiris
cili merah dan hijau ~ dipotong panjang

Perisa :
1 sudu besar sos tiram
2 sudu besar sos lada hitam
1/2 sudu besar serbuk stok ayam
sedikit tepung jagung dibancuh dengan air ~ untuk memekatkan

Kaedah penyediaan :

1. Perapkan udang bersama garam dan lada hitam untuk sekurang-kurangnya 15 minit.
2. Gril atau gorengkan udang hingga masak. Ketepikan.
3. Panaskan sedikit minyak di dalam kuali dan masukkan bawang, bawang putih dan halia. Tumis hingga naik bau.
4. Masukkan sos tiram, sos lada hitam dan serbuk stok ayam. Kacau sebati.
5. Masukkan hirisan cili dan udang. Kacau rata.
6. Tuangkan bancuhan tepung jagung, rasakan perisanya dan sedia untuk dihidangkan.
