BANANA NUT BREAD (Syahani)

 
I was feeling lousy almost the whole of yesterday. And when this particular 'virus' attacks me, automatically my speed will just drop. Even the brain speed dropped as well. At times I was actually lost, not knowing what to do when and when to do what! As a result of that, I tend to waste time, and time is gold as people use to say.

Anyway, for lunch, I just managed to cook these....



My date with Miss Salton wasn't that enjoyable as well. I only manage to iron half of what I am capable of ironing during my 'normal' days. I think, all these was because I didn't go for my usual morning walk yesterday. So the system was still 'asleep' and actually 'slept' throughout the day! Hahaha...

Let's just carry on with the recipe to share for today as I have to 'report duty' in the kitchen soon. And oh, despite of not being myself yesterday, I managed to bake 40 pieces cupcakes and 12 tiny cupcakes, just to finish off the leftover bater. Recipe today will be this Banana Nut Bread which I 'discovered' from Syahani's Blog. Thank you Syahani for sharing this recipe with all of us.



BANANA NUT BREAD

Ingredients
:

Wet Ingredients :
2-3 ripe bananas (medium size)
6 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanila essence
2 eggs ~ beaten

Dry Ingredients :
1 1/3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda (bicarbonate soda)
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup castor sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnut (chopped)

Method :

1. Mix well the dry ingredients except walnuts.
2. Mash the banana and add in melted butter and vanilla essence.
3. Add in the beaten eggs and mix well.
4. Pour the mixture into the dry ingredients and stir till well incorporated.
5. Pour the batter into a greased baking tray.
6. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 C for 40 - 45 minutes.
7. When baked, leave the cake in the tin for 10 minutes before removing it to the wire rack to cool.

Bahan:
Bahan basah:
2-3 biji pisang (sederhana besar)
6 tbsp mentega cair
1 tsp ekstraks vanila (saya guna esen vanila)
2 biji telur (saiz besar) (dipukul)

Bahan kering:
1 1/3 cwn tepung gandum
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
2/3 cwn gula halus
1/2 tsp garam
1/2 cwn walnut (cincang) (saya tak letak walnut sbb tiada)

Cara:
1. Gaul sebati semua bahan kering kecuali walnut.
2. Lenyek pisang bersama mentega dan esen vanila.
3. Masukkan telur yang telah dipukul sedikit ke dalam adunan pisang tadi. Gaul sehingga rata dan sebati.
4. Masukkan adunan basah dan walnut ke dalam adunan kering.
5. Gaul adunan sehingga sebati.
6. Masukkan adunan ke dalam loyang yang telah digris.
7. Bakar selama 55 minit pada suhu 190C/350F.
8. Setelah masak, biarkan kek di dalam loyang selama 10 minit sebelum disejukkan di atas wire rack.

alahai..rindu rasanya sehari tidak bersua..cam lama gitu x dtg umah mama n sembang2 kak kiahhhh ..
pssstt ada petua ke goreng ayam tu..stiap kali nampak lazat ja..wanna bite can or notttt(chinese slang)

wah...dlm tak de mood to do anything...sempat jugak siapkan cupcakes + lunch! Kot ada mood... tak tau la mama leh masak brapa byk benda!

Mama.. nampak sedap roti pisang mama tuu... Nak cubalah coz kat umah ada lagi pisang tak habis mkn.. Madiha nak tanya sikit....(Madiha ni kalau beri comment mesti disusuli dgn soalan.. Mama tak kisah kan?) Nak tau.. walnut tu (atau any nuts yg kita nak masukkan dlm roti) kena bake dulu ker atau masukkan terus dlm adunan? mama, saya ni jarang buat kek...so bila baca resepi, mcm tak brp paham gitu...kena la tanya pakar...
Bila kek tu dah masak, biarkan dlm loyang 10 min...nak biar tu, kat dlm oven ke kat luar?
Pastu sejukkan atas wire rack...wire rack tu apa bendanya mama?

adoii..kecuq air liur nengok ayam goreng mama tuh...huhu kalo kena ayam kampung..sini dah ler mahal...quater kecik cinonet tu dekat RM5 huhu...kalo le rumah mama kat sebela rumah saya nih...

haa, ma...banana bread ngan banana cake tak sama ke recipe dia..? k tekstur dia lain..hehe mcm senang buat yg bread ni je..and kalau tak nak masuk walnut...kene tambah anything else ke..or mixture dia dh okay..?
