ROSE SWISS ROLLS (Rinnchan)

 
 
 
 
GOSH...I am so sleepy! But I have a strong willpower tonight to update my page. So I will update for the sake of sharing the little knowledge that I have with all of you. And actually I intend to share two recipes but I don't think I should do that tonight or tomorrow, I'll wake up like a zombie! Hahaha....Anyway, let's go straight to the recipe to share today and as promised, here's the Step by Step photo of how I go about playing with my Swiss Roll......Hah Kuzi....saksikanlah tayangan perdana arahan MamaFaMi dengan bantuan Syahmi...hehehe....


1. Beat egg whites till stif peak formed
2. Add sugar bit by bit and continue beating till thick and glossy. Add egg yolks one at a time.
3. Pour in vanilla essence....
4. ...strawberry essence...
5. ...red food coloring...
6. Fluffy mixture
7. Add in flour
8. Cut and fold in the flour
9. Pour in melted butter and hot milk.
10. Pour batter in a greased and lined swiss roll pan
11. After 8 - 10 minutes in the oven
12. Place the cake on a slightly damp towel.
13. After removing the greaseproof paper.
14. Roll the cake. * Chef model ~ Mr Muhammad Syahmi! *wink wink*
15. Leave in a rolled position for a while to let it get it's shape.
16. After removing the towel.
17. Spread with whipped cream.
18. Ready to enjoy!

ROSE SWISS ROLL

Ingredients
:

3 eggs, separated
1/2 cup castor sugar
1/2 cup self raising flour, sifted
1/4 cup corn flour, sifted
2 tblspn hot milk
1 tblspn butter, melted
2 tblspn rose water ( I substituted with 1 tspn of rose essence)
a few drops of red coloring
100ml whipping cream, whipped till stiff peak form

Instruction :

1. Pre-heat oven at 180 deg cel.
2. Beat egg whites till stif peak formed.
3. Add sugar, continue beating till thick and glossy.
4. Add egg yolks little by little, beating well after each addition.
5. Lightly fold in flour with milk till well-combined.
6. Add melted butter and lightly mix it. Add coloring, mix well.
7. Pour batter in a greased and lined a swiss roll pan and bake for 8 ~ 10 minutes.
8. Leave cake in tin for 5 mins. Then take out to cool on wire rack.
9. Place on a wet tea towel and cut sides away.
10. Spread cream and roll the cake.

Bahan-bahan
:

3 biji telur ~ diasingkan putih dan kuningnya
1/2 cawan gula kaster
1/2 cawan tepung naik sendiri ~ diayak
1/4 cawan tepung jagung ~ diayak
2 sudu besar susu panas
1 sudu besar mentega ~ dicairkan
2 sudu besar air ros (Rinn gantikan dengan 1 sudu kecil esen ros)
beberapa titik pewarna merah
100ml whipping cream ~ dipukul hingga kental

Kaedah penyediaan :

1. Panaskan ketuhar ke 180 C.
2. Pukul putih telur hingga kental.
3. Masukkan gula dan terus pukul hingga pekat dan berkilat.
4. Masukkan kuning telur, satu demi satu dan teruskan memukul bancuhan.
5. Kaupbalikkan tepung dan susu hingga sebati.
6. Masukkan mentega cair dan pewarna. Kaup balikkan hingga sebati.
7. Tuangkan bancuhan ke atas dulang pembakar yang telah dialas dengan kertas minyak yang telah digriskan. Bakar selama 8 - 10 minit.
8. Setelah keluar dari oven, biarkan kek di atas tin pembakar selama 5 minit. Keluarkan dari dulang dan letakkan di atas redai untuk sejuk.
9. Letakkan kek di atas tuala yang sedikit lembab. Potongkan di bahagian hujungnya.
10. Sapukan krim dan roll kek tersebut.
