I am so blur ! Sat infront of the pc, not knowing what to write . Tried a couple of times to write on the notepad before Ctrl C and Ctrl V onto the 'Today's Entry' column, but just had to delete them because I just don't know what else to write ! And still, while typing this, I don't have any idea, what I am going to write ....pity pity pity...So I think, I best not write anything to avoid, everybody getting blur as well...hehehe....

I browsed through my photos, and I thought, why not I just share with all of you the breakfast or more of brunch, that we had yesterday and this morning. Who knows, these photos might give you some ideas of what you can prepare for your breakfast tomorrow....


For the recipe section today achewa...perasan macam columnist ler plak haaa....wakakaka....., I'll share with you what I've tried a few days ago. I came across this recipe in Kuzi's Fotopage quite some time back. Wanted to try it straight away but then a few ingredients stopped me from doing so. Went back to Kuzi's page and wrote the questions there. Then I forgot about it till Kuzi 'told' me that she had updated the recipe. Though the look of the bread is not so nice, but taste wise, it's nice. Never judge a book by it's cover, that's what people use to say, but what MamaFaMi would say....never judge the taste by it's look! Looks can be deceiving you know Here's the recipe if you wish to try and for a better photo (because I know my photos are not doing justice AT ALL to the recipe...sorry sorry sorry!), please visit Kuzi's Povitica's entry. If you know as why my bread doesn't turn out like the one in your photo, please please please tell me ya....I think, next time I'll skip that roll and twist part. I'll just leave it like a swiss roll. Then maybe the lines will look better. And sorry Kuzi, I just 'copy and paste' the recipe from your page....mama dah ngantuk ler....

Povitica (Croatian / Polish Filled Sweet Bread) Recipe
Ingredients
Sweet Dough:
1-1/2 cup lukewarm milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup soft butter
2 pkgs Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast (14 g)
1/2 cup warm water
7-1/2 to 8 cups flour

Filling:
1 can evaporated milk ( I think this can be replaced with fresh milk)
1 heaping cup sugar
2 sticks margarine (8 oz = 1 cup - American std)
1-1/2 pounds pecans (ground fine). -> I used almond for the first time and coconut flakes for the second time.
4 eggs
Pinch salt
1 tsp cocoa
1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
Sweet Dough preparation:
Combine warm milk, sugar, salt, softened butter, and beaten eggs. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to other ingredients. Add half of flour, mix well until smooth. Add flour to handle easily. Knead dough on lightly floured board. Put dough in greased bowl, cover and place in warm, draft free place until doubled in size. Punch down and let double again. Divide dough in three parts. Roll each part until very thin in rectangular shape. Spread filling, roll and twist in circular shape like a snail or cinnamon roll. Place in greased 8-inch or 9-inch cake pans. Cover, put in warm place and let rise. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.

Filling preparation:
In heavy pan, over medium heat, combine sugar, milk and margarine and heat. Add nuts, then beaten eggs and mix well. Boil one minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add pinch of salt, cocoa and cinnamon and mix well. Let cool till just warm enough to spread.



Yield: 3 loaves
