Cock-a-doodle-doo...Trice, my phone alarm went off. Yes, that's how my alarm sounded...I think it's pretty cute and suitable to wake me up! Hahaha....Yesterday night, I slept really late, past midnight. I was preparing the goodies to be sent for Syahmi's party, then finishing off with the house chores and finally, sat down peacefully to update my page after the kids went to bed. And since I have to wake up as early as 4.10 am for Fajr, to make sure that I AM ABLE to wake up, I set three alarms on my handphone and one alarm on the other phone! So this morning, after the forth alarm went off, I drag myself out of bed! Prayed Fajr and straight into the kitchen.

Firstly, I prepared the mini pizzas. Luckily the neighbours are quite a distance away from my house otherwise, they'll start wondering, what in the world is this ol' woman doing early in the morning, making noise with her mixer! Pepani pepani...meaning, sorry sorry! Then I re-fry the donuts and coat them. Managed to get slightly more than 30 pieces each. Then made the Cheese Sandwich for Fatin's presentation. All that done in 1 1/2 hours time. Took my shower and head for the road with the kids by 6.45 am. Here are what I sent for Syahmi's party.....



I didn't get the chance to try anything today as I am feeling a bit wobbly the whole day. Thanks to my not enough sleep last night! And what's more, I spent my afternoon on the road, going here and there. Why? You'll soon know....meanwhile...let's move on to our recipe of the day....

Hmmm...which one must I share with all of you today ya? I think, after something sweet yesterday, we'll go for something savory this time ya... I'd like to share with you this very simple yet delicious recipe by Hellikonia. Thanks Helli for sharing with us your late granny's (**Al-Fatihah**) recipe...



MASAK KICAP TOK JAH

Ingredients :


1/2 kg fillet steak (beef) ~ sliced thinly (can also be added with liver if you wish)
15 pieces dried chillie ~ cut and soaked
3 shallots
3 cloves garlic
1/2 inch ginger
1/2 teaspoon fennel (jintan manis)
1/2 teaspoon cummin (jintan putih)
1 teaspoon black pepper
tamarind juice
salt
sugar
2 onions ~ cut round
thick soy sauce
oil for cooking

Method :

1. Blend soaked dried chillie, shallots, garlic, ginger, black pepper, cummin and fennel to form paste.
2. Heat oil and fry the paste till fragrant.
3. Add in the sliced beef and fry till soften.
4. Pour in the tamarind juice.
5. Add salt and sugar to taste and finally the thick soya sauce.
6. When the beef is cooked, add in the onions.
7. Remove from heat and ready to serve.

Kawan-kawan Syahmi siap pesan lagi, next time ask your mom to send MORE donuts. Hehehe....Oh..Nabia masak kicap ada boh santan eh? Tak pernah lak mama dengar versi tu. Nanti dah masak, tepek lah kat fp, leh kami 'merasa' masak kicap Nabia pulak....
8. Nic>> Mama pulak, dulu, tak boh tamarind tapi tomato sauce. Masak kicap ni memang berbagai, pandai kitalah mengolahnya. Hehe...kalau suka sama iteww donut dan pizza, silalah buat sendiri ye. Sonang yo...Resipi donut mauripan tu ada di sini, pizza base tu mama guna resipi Donut Suria dan resipi toppingnya di sini. Semua dah ada, silalah cuba ye Cik Nic!
